THE BRIDGEWATER-SOMERVILLE CONNECTION

FEB/MARCH 2016

After 50 years of working in Somerville, it is with mixed emotions that I announce to all of my clients, friends and staff (past and present) my re- tirement. I would like to tell all of you that it has been my privilege to have been part of your lives for so many years - for some of you to share 4 generations of your family. You have been like an extended family. From 48 E. Main Street in 1970 to 37W. Main Street, where Tino’s Hair Salon & Body Spa was established in 1994 - it has been a great ride! It is time to let go, shut off the phone and lock the door one last time. Looking forward to this new chapter of my life with extended travel to Europe, learning new hobbies and simply enjoying not having scheduled appointments. Again, I would like to extend a special thank you to my present staff, Carmella, Sue Ann, and Rosanna and my best wishes and my heartful gratitude and appreciation to all of you. I will miss all of you. – Tino 37West Main Street • Somerville 908-725-6666 www.TinosHairSalonAndSpa.com Tino’s Retiring! BETH PARCELL EVANS Since age four, Beth has been passionate about horses and art. She can remember drawing them as early as that, an indication of things to come. Throughout the years that followed, no matter what other things she was doing, she never ceased painting horses. A horse owner for 40 years, Beth has ridden and competed with four of her Thorough- breds. Although her riding days are over now, she still follows the foxhunts and spends time at racetracks and steeplechases. Painting sub- jects that she knows is important to her, and she knows horses intimately. She has had 4 years of training in life draw- ing, oil painting, and illustration. As she embarked on her fine art career, she followed the wildlife show circuit on the East Coast, always bringing some equine work with her. Her love for painting wildlife and canine sub- jects has become more evident in recent years as she is returning to focusing on them again. She hikes daily with her dog, spending an hour or two out in nature each day, even in the rain and snow. All subject matter is taken from her personal experiences, whether it is equine related or scenes of nature. Her desire is to create a beautiful painting that will captivate and uplift the viewer. Her studio is tucked away in New Jersey’s Sourland Mountains. Beth’s affiliations include: • The Society of Animal Artists - Signature member • The Salmagundi Club • Oil Painters of America - Associate member • Allied Artists of America - Associate member Her work is displayed in the following galleries: • Sheldon Fine Art - Naples, FL • Spa Fine Art - Saratoga Springs, NY • Highlands Art Gallery - Lambertville, NJ • Dog & Horse Fine Art - Charleston, SC • Seaside Art Gallery - Nags Head, NC • Rich Timmons Gallery - Doylestown, PA • Gallery on Madison - Middleburg, VA %+5/; ;;8-3+</ %+5/; ;;8-3+</ "003-/ ! 375/A >/7=/ +;4371 $3.1/ !
