MARTINSVILLE GARDENS 1801 Washington Valley Road Bridgewater 973-722-1534 973-216-0297 Ajay Chaudhry A culinary delight with thematic and innovative settings for events is how Ajay describes his new venture Martinsville Gardens, the new acquisition of Chand Palace. After preparing and presenting an individ- ualized dining experience for about 25 events in 2 months with excel- lent feedback from guests, Ajay is distinguishing himself as a culinary entrepreneur. “From here we will expand further and launch a chain of restaurants with our Asian fusion cuisine,” says Ajay Chaudhry. Ajay brings with him 26 years of experience in the culinary industry from heading the largest convention Centre at The Ashok, New Delhi to his most prestigious assignment of organizing State Ban- quets for the Honorable Prime minis- ter of India and visiting dignitaries, including former President Bill Clin- ton and Hillary Clinton on their visits to India. He has won the Presidential award for working on this big event in India. Ajay remarks humbly that the guests said that their taste buds were tingling with excitement just thinking about the menu and food that would be served at the party. Ajay’s success mantra is: whether your banquet hall is in a historic man- sion, a freestanding building or is part of a hotel, a well-thought out marketing plan is critical to success. Ajay’s many years of experience enables him to merge his culinary knowledge with his savvy marketing in forging a plan suited to the target clientele. Ajay says, “Whether an event includes weddings, special events, birthdays or anniversaries, business gatherings and charitable events, implementing a creative marketing plan helps you broaden your cus- tomer base. But before you do that, you have to make your product look unique and your cuisine palatable for all. To be ahead of competition you have to keep developing new set- tings for presentation, new ideas and new dishes. Offer something that your guests have not seen before, and that’s what they want.” Hosting a charity or fundraiser at a minimal fee, or perhaps just for the cost and preparation of the food, gives back to the community. Partici- pating in the life of the community is very important to Ajay and the staff at Martinsville Gardens. They are hiring locally and they welcome every guest with any budget. Becoming part of the community means forg- ing relationships and tapping into the creativity and talent that is around. For example, in their local hiring, Martinsville Gardens need not look any further than the talent- ed students from the Culinary Arts Program at the Community College of Morris where Ajay is on the advi- sory board. Ajay observes, “Why do we need to look somewhere else when the talent we need is right at our doorstep?” We are inviting the com- munity for a tour of Martinsville Gardens and we will be offering dis- counts on events. Brides-to-be and other interested guests should know that booking the event on certain days and times will mean less expense. Ajay’s knowledge of the Culinary Arts and combined Banquet Man- agement expertise is turning a prop- erty that had been closed for many years into a thriving local business, benefitting our community and State and those seeking jobs from the immediate and surrounding areas.
