Angela Rascionato, owner of Angie’s Deli, was born in Lioni, Italy and immigrated to the United States as a teenager. It is obvious that Italy still resonates through her blood. When you enter Angie’s Gourmet Deli you are welcomed like a family member. Angie’s Gourmet Deli creates fabulous sandwiches wraps and hot sandwiches. Salads are available as a healthy option. Order online at Ang- iesGourmetDeli.com and everything will be ready by the time you arrive for pickup. The tomatoes, peppers, figs, apples and peaches that are used at Angie’s Gourmet Deli are grown in Angie’s 3 acre backyard in Warren. This is the true meaning of buying local, organic food. No preservatives, no pesticides just real food. Angie’s hot peppers stuffed with bread, anchovies, walnuts and raisins and are absolutely heavenly. The egg- plants that her garden yields are cooked and jarred with the help of her friend Antonietta. The apples in Angie’s homemade applesauce and apple pie come from her backyard as do the ingredients in her jams. Generations of women stand behind many of the recipes used by Angie’s Gourmet Deli. Angie’s homemade red tomato sauce and her vodka sauce are made using a recipe handed down from her grand- mother to her mother. Stop by on the way home and pick up some “gravy” made with Angie’s garden tomatoes and Severino pasta that has been made in Cherry Hill with flour imported from Italy. When your family loves it, you can say that it was homemade, that is homemade by Angie. Antonio’s homemade raviolis use Angie’s own season appropriate recipes. Angie provides sauce sug- gestions directly on the package for ease of creating a superb dining experience. Perhaps you would like to try Angie’s own Spinach lasagna or Chicken Parmesan. No need to worry, Angie will explain to you how to finish cooking it for a wonderfully successful no fuss dinner or just pick up a fully made dinner. The desserts that Angie bakes are delectable. From a traditional Tiramisu or cheesecake to a mouth- watering carrot cake, Angie has taken care of your sweet tooth. You may want to shop early and pick up some Biscotti made from her mom’s recipe and her magnificent lemon cookies before they disappear. Angie’s Gourmet Deli is all about the best ingredients and in this light Angie carries I.G.P. Balsamic Vinegar imported from Modena that varies from 3 year old all the way to 12 year old. Fresh Mozzarella is avail- able that was made in her home town of Lioni, Italy.
