SEPTEMBER, ahh the Autumn leaves, Back to School, back to life after a wonderful summer! Welcome to this fabulous issue full of NEW and Returning ad- vertisers, very interesting edito- rials, Community News and convenient dedicated Sections, which make the magazine easier to read and local merchants simpler to find. Two fall com- munity events worth mentioning are: 5k Run 4 Quaid, Saturday, October 14 at Watchung Hills Re- gional High School. This event raises funds to help a local young man, Quaid Mobus, who in 2013 had an accident which changed his life forever. Please read his story on page 100 or to donate to this worthwhile cause! In addition, Morristown Festival of Books will celebrate its 4th year con- necting best-selling authors with the local reading community. The event takes place on Friday & Saturday October 13-14, 2017. See page 74 for important information. Highlighted from our business/professional community this issue are: Shake A Paw Rescue, Mediterranean Tile, The Sundance School, Soo Bahk Do Karate of Gillette, Pro Storage Garage, Sparkle Floors & Carpet, Martinsville Gardens, Morristown Deli, Restro 3 Restau- rant, Integrated Speech Pathology, LLC and Town Vision Center. Our talented writers have given us unique insight into these businesses and their respective owners. Stephanie Amato, formerly of Basking Ridge, adorns our cover with an oil on linen entitled, “Trailing Roses.” Talented artist that she is, Stephanie split her time creatively as a graphic de- signer while pursuing her first love, painting. Upon moving to Georgia a few years ago she put all her love and devotion into her painting career and has never been happier. She states, “My inspiration for this piece was a silver pitcher, which I had found at an antique store in Georgia. I chose the white/ yellow roses to keep the painting in a monochro- matic palate so the emphasis would be on the pitcher and reflections on the table. ”This painting is currently available through Studio 7 Art Gallery in Bernardsville, NJ, 908-630-9770. Please read Stephanie’s impressive bio on page 8. Look for our FUN contest in this issue: SPOT THE FAKE! Somewhere in this issue is a fake ad.
