Happy Holidays to all of our loyal readers! We are delighted to present a fabulous issue of The Warren-Watchung Con- nection just in time for the most joyous time of the year. With that in mind we have included several won- derful sections in the magazine to help you focus on Holiday Cheer, Dining for the Holidays and a new Houses of Worship Section as well as our regular sections, Home & Design, Spotlight on Seniors, Health & Wellness and our Commu- nity Calendar. In addition, we are thrilled to high- light the following businesses in this edition: So Chic Personal Shopping, Trattoria Biagio, Amazing Lash Studio, Vein Institute of New Jersey and Lighting Genie. We hope you enjoy these articles as well as the many other interesting editorials in this issue, some written by local pro- fessionals and business owners in our community. Local artist, and New Jersey Native, Rhoda Yanow, adorns our front cover with a soft pastel painting entitled, “Theater Dressing Room.” An artist since childhood, Rhoda Yanow has ded- icated her life to capturing the subtle moments of life that are so easily missed. From focused dancers, seconds before the curtain rises, to nerv- ous gamblers anxiously awaiting a horse race, Rhoda Yanow’s work finds artistry and expression in daily drama. Her work has been awarded with countless accolades and has been featured in nu- merous books, publications and galleries across the country. This piece was inspired by a very ac- tive dressing room. She states, “Everyone was rushing around changing costumes between acts and there was a lot of confusion. There was a glimpse of an exciting painting with dancers ready to go, a mirror reflection and with everything else it inspired this harmonious painting. Sometimes you capture the perfect moment and this was one of those times.” Please read Rhoda’s impressive bio on page 8. Look for our FUN contest in this issue: SPOT THE FAKE!
