which will be held

in Basking Ridge beginning at 8:30am. Keeping Ba-

bies Safe is a national organization committed to en-

suring safe sleep products for infants and providing

low-income parents with safe cribs for their babies.

We hope you support this important event!

Highlighted from our business/professional com-

worm, Delta Financial Group, Gerald A. York

Opticians, Gladstone Tavern, Harmony Oakes

Studio, Priscilla’s Pantry, Rudolph’s Steakhouse,

Service Experts, Somerset Hills Memorial Park,

The Station, TALC Salon

and

Marie Young-Cold-

well Banker Real Estate.

Our talented writers have

given us unique insight into these businesses and

their respective owners.

Local artist,

Michal Barkai,

adorns our cover with

a pastel entitled,

“The Iris Garden.”

She prefers

painting in dry pastels and oils and is a signature

member of The Pastel Society of New Jersey. Regard-

ing this piece, Michal states, “The Presby Iris Garden

in Montclair is a favorite with artists and the general

public, and keeps inspiring me year after year. I loved

the building in the background and the strong shad-

ows cast by these bearded backlit irises. I was deter-

mined to depict the Irises with detail, despite the

extra effort. The initial plein air study can be viewed

on my website under Artwork, ‘Before and After’”

Please read Michal’s impressive bio on page 8.
