THE CONNECTION

Bernards-Ridge Edition

We are delighted to welcome the Fall Season with a fabulous Back 2 School edition of The Bernards-Ridge Connection. Included in this issue are new and returning advertisers, great edito- rial content, dedicated sections, community news and much more! Our dedicated sections, this issue include: Back 2 School, featuring many local learning options and more, Dining Out, Health & Wellness, Home Sweet Home, Special Occasions, Charming Chester and Spotlight on Seniors and of course the Commu- nity Calendar. In our Community News columns this issue we feature Keeping Babies Safe Annual 5K Walk/ Run which will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Harry Dunham Park in Basking Ridge beginning at 8:30am with Senator Tom Kean, Jr. as Honorary 5K Chairman. Keeping Babies Safe is a national organiza- tion committed to ensuring safe sleep products for in- fants and providing low-income parents with safe cribs for their babies. We hope you support this important function! We hope you keep the magazine in your home this fall as a reference and source for all of your local needs. Highlighted from our business/professional commu- nity this issue are: Rhodes & Sons Electrical Contract- ing, Inc., Marie Young - Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Wompy’s World of Musical Play, Aurora Kitchens & Interiors, Bench Fashion Floors, Zen For Life Wellness, Matheny Medical and Educational Center and Health Care Connect. Our talented writ- ers have given us unique insight into these businesses and their respective owners. Local artist, Allen L. Taylor, adorns our front cover with a watercolor entitled, “School of Kayaks.” Re- turning to his love of painting after a successful career in the advertising industry, Allen has embraced this part of his retirement pursuit. He states, “Each September, we try to spend a few days at a favorite B&B on the water at Rockport, Massachusetts. In town, a school for kayak sailing displays its training crafts on their dock. The formation of these colorful boats called to mind a school of fish, or in this interesting array – a School of Kayaks.” Please read Allen’s interesting bio on page 8. Look for our FUN contest in this issue: SPOT THE FAKE! Somewhere in this issue is a fake ad. Find it and email us at Spotthefake@theconnectionsnj.com. Please use the subject line: FAKE and include the an- swer, your name, town and phone number.
