Welcome to the summer edi- tion of The Bernards-Ridge Connection. We are delighted to bring you an exciting issue filled with new and returning ad- vertisers, interesting editorial con- tent and wonderful sections, intended to make the magazine more focused and easier to read. Our ded- icated sections, this issue include: Summer Pro- grams, featuring many activities and camps to keep the kids busy this summer, Home Sweet Home, which highlights everything home related, Tie The Knot for weddings, Dining Out with some great new restaurants and outdoor patio options, Health & Wellness to keep us balanced and happy this sea- son. Also our Spotlight on Seniors includes a heartfelt column by Ellyn Mantell, Charming Chester Section and of course our Community Calendar which introduces the new summer pro- grams, clubs and activites. We hope you keep this magazine in your homes all summer as a valuable source for all your local needs! Local artist, Linda Schwartz, adorns our front cover with a pastel painting entitled, “Double Bub- ble.” Although portraits are Linda’s favorite subjects she enjoys other themes, especially childhood ones. She states about this painting, “The recurring geo- metric shapes and pattern of the gumballs, the vi- brant basic colors, the reflections in the glass and the theme reminiscent of childhood drew me to this sub- ject.” Please read Linda’s bio on page 8.
