Children ages 5-16 living in Warren, Watchung, Long Hill Township, and surrounding com- munities are eligible to partici- pate. Teams are organized by strict age and weight requirements which ensures the safest environ- ment possible. Practices begin in August and are held at the state- of-the-art WHPW complex locat- ed at 101 Old Stirling Road in Warren, across the street from the Middle School. All of the pro- grams’ football and cheer coaches are Rutgers-certified and partici- pate in numerous off-season coaching clinics. The WHPW program has just completed a very successful 2015 season, with its two competitive cheer teams placing 1st and 2nd nationally at the Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Com- petition held at Disney World last December. In addition, all of our football teams won conference championships and our Junior Pee Wee team (ages 9-11) competed in the Eastern Region Finals with the winner advancing to Disney for national play. WHPW enjoys a strong relationship and affilia- tion with the Watchung Hills Regional High School Football program and head Coach Mike Katz who is an avid supporter of the program. Entering its 44th, year, the Watchung Hills Pop Warner Pro- gram is a non-profit youth organ- ization and is organized under the Pop Warner Little Scholars Pro- gram which was established in 1929 and is the country’s longest tenured youth organization. Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is a non-profit organiza- tion that provides youth football and cheer & dance programs for participants in 42 states and sever- al countries around the world.
