This installment we present a fantastic Summer Programs Section filled with many options parents may want to explore to keep the kids busy this sum- mer, Tie The Knot Section featuring specialties for your upcoming affair, our Spotlight on “Seniors” Section has some thought provoking articles and advertisers. We also have a great Home & Design Section, filled with exceptional local craftsmen, land- scapers and all your needs around the house, Dining Out this issue is packed with eating venues, new restaurants and notable articles and the Health & Wellness Section is brimming with wonderful solu- tions, tips and hints for everything health related. There is a wonderful article about the upcoming Mansion in May Designer Showhouse & Gardens, this year held at The Abbey in Morris Township, NJ. We hope you keep this edition in your homes this spring as a resource for shopping, profes- sional care, dining and more! Featured from our Business/Professional Commu- nity this issue are: Joy of Living Interior Design, Duck Donuts, All Children’s Theater, Tessuto Fine Italian Clothing, Liliana Ferreira-Re/Max Premier, Graphic Imagery, Neigel Center for Cos- metic and Laser Surgery, Bella Fina Medi Spa, Gerald A. York Optician, CEO Executive Suites and Abingdon Care and Rehabilitation Center. Our talented writers have given us unique insight into these businesses and their respective owners. Each April, we feature a student artist on our front cover and this year is no exception. We are delighted to present “Abby’s Boot,” an oil, painted by young artist Abagail Pedroso. Abagail, a Warren resident, is a senior at Watchung Hills Regional High School. When asked about her inspiration for this piece she said, “This was a summer assignment for Fine Art 3 entering AP last fall. The students were asked to complete an accurate rendering of a shoe or shoes.” Most students stuck to those parameters, but Abby expanded on the idea and put a unique spin on the project. This ended up being a catalyst for her con- centration, which explores the relationship between the human body and nature. Please read Abby’s bio on page 8. Look for our FUN contest in this issue: SPOT THE FAKE! Somewhere in this issue is a fake ad. Find it and email us at Spotthefake@theconnectionsnj.com.
