Cadicina, Esq. Joseph P. Cadicina, Esq. During my 20 year legal career, I have been a family law attorney. My practice is exclusively devoted to family law and related matters. I have helped thousands of individuals in their divorce and post judgment matters and have earned an excellent reputation in the area of family law. I serve on the Fami- ly Law Executive Committee for the NJ State Bar Association, which is limited to leading family law attorneys and judges who address family law issues. I also serve on the Family Law Executive Committee for the NJ Association for Justice and have achieved the highest level of membership in the Northern NJ Family Law Inns of Court. Through my involvement with these organizations, I often lecture and write articles regard- ing family law. In addition to representing clients in divorce and post judgment matters, I serve as a family law mediator. I recog- nize the benefits of resolving matters amicably and expeditiously when the parties are able to work together for the benefit of their family, to resolve their issues. As a mediator, I do not represent either party, but rather serve as a neutral party assisting litigants and their counsel in resolving disputes. Many individuals find mediation an excellent opportunity to resolve their family law issues while avoiding the significant expense and delay of litigat- ing in Court. In addition to my professional rela- tionships, I am also actively involved in the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association where I’ve been on the Board of Directors for over ten years. I enjoy raising aware- ness and educating people about heart disease and stroke, while raising signif- icant funds for great organizations. It is also important to me to give back to my local community where I have served as a councilman for the past four years in the Borough of Franklin Lakes. My law office is conveniently locat- ed across the street from the Morris County Courthouse. I serve on the Morris County Bar Association as a Trustee and an Officer, of which I am currently the Treasurer, and will be President within the next three years. My position as an Officer gives me the opportunity to work with the Bench and Bar in Morris County to improve their relationship and the services pro- vided to the public. I believe that one of the most important things when meeting with potential new clients is to provide them with a realistic expectation of how their case will proceed based upon the facts presented to me. I never over promise results and I’m honest about potential results. The attorney/ client relationship works best and remains the strongest when the parties have realistic and accurate expecta- tions. Clients are confident in my rep- resentation because of my extensive experience and the fact that I’m mar- ried with two young children, which gives me an invaluable perspective on family life. Clients often refer family and friends to me for representation because they are satisfied with my services. I also get referrals from numerous professionals, including accountants, doctors, therapists and attorneys who do not practice family law.
