I have a recognizable brand and support from those who know me. I am able to talk about my business with confidence and walk into any room and feel like I am able to speak on behalf of my business and how I got built it in just a year. After we started coaching, Andrea provided me with the confidence I never knew I had to do this on my own.” “I was treating my business as a hobby and constantly making excuses and now I have a legit, professional business and the revenue to prove it. I feel so much more professional, presenting myself as the expert (which I know I am but sometimes need reminding and encouragement). Hiring Andrea was the best thing that happened to me and my business. I am so happy I had the gut feeling to see past the financial commitment and make this investment in myself and business.” We all have different groups in our lives. Sometimes we find ourselves in 'mom' tribes, volunteer groups, or social activism teams. You might reflect and see how you assimilated into those groups, either by accident or deliber- ately. They provided a benefit to you at that time, whether it be a sense of inclusion, support, or passionate pur- suit of betterment. What all those have in common is they foster an environ- ment of sharing and connecting. As women entrepreneurs, we need to apply this same philosophy to creating and joining groups of business-minded leaders. Here are three key benefits of regularly connecting, with like-minded women-preneurs. Networking Networking isn't so much about min- gling or generating leads from each other, although both are prevalent. It's more about connecting authentically with other women and sharing busi- ness stories and best practices togeth- er. It's grounding to learn that others experience many of the same chal- lenges you do, and sharing nuggets of real-life entrepreneurship can empow- er you by alleviating those nagging self-doubts you have. It also affords an opportunity to encourage others with successes and business 'wins.' Net- working from a place of generosity, means you'll always provide valuable knowledge, resources and try your best to help uplift others. Support Connecting regularly can be a lifeline of support for your business, personal growth, and overall success. There's no need to recreate the wheel in your business. If a colleague has experi- enced a similar challenge and success- fully navigated through to victory, would you want to know how? Shar- ing within a group can offer specific solutions to specific questions you may have. Sound advice from those who've been there, is worth its weight in gold. Accountability Ah, goals. We all have goals. Sometimes we write them down in neat little jour- nals, or in bold marker print on a vision board. Goals are just ideas, however, and you won't get closer to achieving them without a plan and accountability. Connecting with fellow entrepreneurs can help you stage a path for careful planning and provide you with a team to hold you to those plans. Sharing your goals within a group means you're committing to getting there. Your peers will help keep you motivated, keep you moving, and keep you sane as you trek the journey.
