WARREN TWP. –Wagner Farm Arboretum will hold its 3rd annual Brite Nites event the last two weekends in October.
The Children’s Garden at the Arboretum hosts an unforgettable Halloween event for the entire family. A Haunted House featuring ghoulish creatures, costumed characters, face painting and sweet treats are just some of the friendly sites that Wagner Farm’s Brite Nites has to offer.
This year the Arboretum will display over 1,000 carved and lighted pumpkins! The farm land is illuminated by so many hand-carved and crafted pumpkins and the pumpkin sculptures are truly a sight that kids and adults will remember for a life time.
“Thanks to a volunteer staff of incredibly artistic people, this year we will feature designs and pumpkin sculptures that will astonish visitors of all ages,” said Suzanne Smith, President at Wagner Farm Arboretum.
Wagner Farm Arboretum is a non-profit organization devoted to preserving open space and providing a natural setting for the community to visit. The Giving Garden is organized and maintained entirely by volunteers who work with the local elementary schools to plant seeds, transplant seedlings, and harvest and deliver produce to food banks and other organizations serving those in need in Essex, Morris, Union and Somerset Counties. The Giving Garden has donated over 50,000 pounds of produce to date.
All proceeds from Brite Nites will be used to maintain the Arboretum and expand educational programs related to gardening and preserving nature.
