Finding time to go to the gym can be difficult. So can surmounting the seemingly insurmountable fear of starting a workout routine as a beginner. Jennifer Morrison, local Bernardsville resident and owner of MSBH Fitness & Wellness, calls herself the “Traveling Trainer” and offers in-home personal training services to combat those challenges and more.
Training at home is a quick and convenient way to get your workouts done, with no room for excuses. Jennifer guides her clients through their transformation journey by providing all the necessary tools and motivation. She supplies the equipment, designs a training program based on each client’s specific goals, and provides coaching on how to achieve a healthy, balanced diet. All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to join her “fit tribe.”
Jennifer currently offers one-on-one training, small group training (4-6 participants), Bridal Boot Camp and Youth Fitness (grades 5 – collegiate level). New to this summer’s schedule, she will host Boot Camp in the park. Each session is 45 minutes and tailored completely to the client’s specific needs. Workouts are kept to 45 minutes, with Jennifer keeping participants motivated to push themselves for the length of the session.
According to Jennifer, having a trainer come to your home cuts down on the amount of workout time you need. There’s no looking for a baby sitter, no need to drive to a destination, and no temptation to drive past the gym on the way home. It’s perfect for new parents, those with busy schedules, and beginners who have never been to a gym before. It’s also a great addition for conditioned athletes who are looking to cross train. Jennifer likes to use a training style she calls Functional Interval Training, or “FIT,” which incorporates core strengthening, balance, flexibility, endurance and functional body movements. “I push my clients with the motivation they need to get their workouts done quickly and start seeing results,” she says.
Jennifer has dedicated the past 20 years of her career to wellness and fitness, helping others achieve their goals. She received her degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University and then went on to achieve many nationally-ranked certifications through prestigious organizations. These certifications help Jennifer stay up-to-date with the latest studies and trends in this ever-changing industry so that her workout routines and program designs stay relevant and provide the best results possible.
