FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jewish Federation to Present Film and Discussion Series on Israel
The Jewish Federation of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties is presenting a free series of films and discussions about the modern state of Israel, its ties to the Jewish people and contributions to culture and technology around the world. The series will also address efforts by various groups to delegitimize Israel through the spread of falsehoods, double standards and the use of intimidation and political pressure.
The film series begins with the showing of “Crossing the Line: The Intifada Comes to Campus”, a provocative film which documents a growing campaign to promote anti-Israel propaganda and intimidate pro-Israel students and faculty on college campuses throughout North America.
The films and discussion present a clear factual account of Israel in historical and geo-political context and exposes the double-standards and blatant anti-Semitism of targeted campaigns that seek to vilify Israel on the world stage. Viewers will be inspired to become advocates for Israel and gain insights into how to engage in an open and honest dialogue about Israel and the Middle East.
The film series begins on October 4th at 7pm as part of the Jewish Life program at the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center on Talamini Road in Bridgewater, NJ. The series is free and open to the public.
