Family Portraits and A Drawing Workshop
Basking Ridge, NJ: Farmstead Arts will offer several family-oriented events in October and November. On Sunday, October 28 dress up and enjoy some spooky and seasonal favorites as Farmstead Arts presents HarpAntics Halloween Hallabaloo Concert at 2 PM. In November, Farmstead Arts will also offer family portraits for the holidays by award-winning photography Hilary Klimek on November 3-4 and a one-day drawing workshop by new faculty member Anthony Galati on November 3. All events are in the historic farmhouse at Farmstead Arts on 450 King George Road in Basking Ridge.

On Saturday November 3 and Sunday November 4, photographer Hilary Klimek will offer family portraits just in time for the holidays. The portraits will be taken in front of a winter setting designed by
Back to Nature of Basking Ridge. The $50 sitting fee includes three digital photos that will be e-mailed to participants. There is a limit of 5 people per sitting. Reservations are encouraged, however, drop-ins are welcome based on availability. Appointment times are between 10 – 12 AM and 4 – 6 PM both days. On Saturday, November 3 from 1-3 PM, Farmstead Arts will also offer a Drawing A Still Life workshop by artist Anthony Galati. This workshop will focus on understanding light, shadow, negative space, plotting points, structure and shading. This workshop is particularly well suited for ages teen through adult who are beginner and intermediate levels, however advanced level students are also welcome. The registration fee is $30 per person. Attendees need to bring a drawing pad and drawing materials. Register online at galatiworkshop.eventbrite.com, or write to email@example.com.
