Branchburg Martial Arts
has been serving local families
for almost six years in the
Bridgewater and Branchburg
area. Our main martial art is
TaeKwonDo. This martial art is
easily recognizable from other
styles because of its jump and
spin kicks. So the techniques are
challenging but fun to learn as
children can copy the moves of
their favorite heroes. Inspiration
can come from The Avengers,
Kung Fu Panda or the new
Karate Kid movies. It’s almost
time for kids to get back to
school and it’s good to have a
sport that is more than exercise.
We offer classes to three dif-
ferent skill levels, beginner,
intermediate and advanced.
There is also a separate class for
teens and adults. In this way stu-
dents can comfortably train with
children close to their age and
belt level. It’s a great activity for
children that have tried but pass
on team sports. With TaeKwon-
Do each student progresses at
their own speed. There are
opportunities to earn belts
throughout the year so setting
goals comes with this sport.
Unlike the TaeKwonDo fea-
tured in the 2012 London
Olympics our focus is more than
just competing. We are interest-
ed in seeing our students set
and achieve their own goals. A
student that needs to build
strength will enjoy the action of
kicking, jumping and punching.
It’s a great workout that uses the
whole body. We learn to use our
core to develop power. Students
leave class sweating but smiling.
The class tempo changes
intensity for students that need
to burn some unfocused energy.
There are different pads and tar-
gets to strike which relieves
stress. Students are given a
structured setting to get it out of
their systems.
Martial arts teach discipline
and the rules are consistent for
everyone. The underlying idea in
class is control over oneself. Dis-
cipline does not consist of
yelling at students that misbe-
have. Rather drills are run in a
way to remind students of what
is acceptable. Self-control is
more than standing still; it
includes waiting your turn to
kick, sitting and watching, help-
ing clean instead of rushing to
leave after class is over.
Mr. B, a 3rd degree black belt,
is our head instructor. He along
with our dedicated group of
instructors is ready to train and
get you to bring out your best.

The Bethel Nurturing Care Center is a non-denominational Christian Center, whose purpose is
to provide specialized care and attention to children with disabilities. Bethel Nurturing Care
Center is an extension of Apples & Books, Bugs & Sticks Day Care Center, located at 1941
Holland Brook Road, in Branchburg. Bethel Nurturing Care Center is a place where children
with disabilities are treated with respect. We specialize in children with Down Syndrome,
Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
Bethel Nurturing Care Center’s inclusive services help
children learn tolerance and awareness. We stress the im-
portance of integration of special needs children into the
classroom and everyday life.
We serve infants from 6 weeks to 6 years. Come and visit
us and plan to join us in September. We are open from
7am-6:30pm and offer flexible hours to meet your needs!
