On Sunday, December 2nd, CARES
Foundation, a local nonprofit, is hosting
the world famous Harlem Wizards at
Livingston High School. The Wizards
will be taking on some of Livingston’s
finest local residents – teachers, politi-
cians and other community members - in
a game sure to be full of tricks and laughs.
Tip off is at 2PM and contests will also be
held throughout the game in which win-
ners can take home great prizes, ranging
from gift cards to local businesses to free
camp tuition at Willow Lake Day Camp
in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey. The
event is being held to benefit CARES
Foundation, which is the only nonprofit
in existence in the US that raises aware-
ness, funds research and provides support
for families affected by Congenital Adre-
nal Hyperplasia (CAH), a life threatening
adrenal disorder.
Advance tickets are available online at
www.harlemwizards.com. The cost is $12
for students and $15 for adults. If avail-
able, you may also purchase tickets at the
door. Game day prices are $15 for stu-
dents and $18 for adults.
CARES is still accepting corporate and
individual sponsors so if you are interest-
ed in hearing more, or donating to the
event, please send an email to fundrais-
ing@caresfoundation.org. Premier level
sponsors get a booth and signage at the
game, reserved seating, free tickets and
the option to select a home team player.
