You finally get the call that you
have been waiting for all of your
adult life. Your child has found true
love and is getting married. It is a
joyous and exciting time with so
much to do. The bridal gown, the
wedding shower and the planning
of the actual wedding and then
somewhere in all that excitement,
you realize that it is your time too.
You, the mother, must begin the
search for your special occasion
dress. But how do you get started in
your hunt for the perfect dress?
Many brides will set specific
parameters such as color and style
that will work with their “visions.”
Others will let you “do your own
thing.” As in any new venture, you
start at the beginning. There are
several rules, which when used as
guidelines that can help make the
experience a positive one to cherish
forever.
First, choose a store like

Third, experiment with trends.
When you look at pictures, either
on line or in magazines, make sure
to realize that not everyone carries
clothing like a runway model. For
example, perhaps eveningwear is
trending towards strapless looks,
but you are just not comfortable.
Instead of walking away from a
beautiful dress, consider adding
some one shoulder interest or sheer
cap sleeves, yet still maintaining the
integrity of the garment. It may be
the perfect finish that makes the
dress work just for you. You must
also be willing to wear proper
undergarments. A good foundation
can enhance your figure by adding
definition to your shape and there-
by making the dress a perfect fit.

must make sure that you purchase a
