THE BRIDGEWATER-SOMERVILLE CONNECTION
JUNE 2013
SAFE HAVEN
COMPUTERS
43
West Somerset Street
Raritan
By: Matt Potter
Frank Senkewicz
Whether you’re a home user
searching for the perfect comput-
er to suit your needs or a small-
business owner looking to set up
a network in the office,
Safe
Haven Computers
of Raritan has
the answers.
Located at 43 West Somerset
Street,
Safe Haven
boasts a suite
of services that includes repair
and maintenance, network setup,
and custom-built desktop and
laptop machines.
And its small staff of friendly
and knowledgeable experts
makes the experience as person-
able and hassle-free as possible.
“
When people do business
with us, it’s a personal experience;
you’re a name, not a number,“
says owner Frank Senkewicz.
“
The people I have working for
me are the best out there. This is
not just a job to them; they do
this work because they love it.”
And, Frank stresses, staff are
skilled at explaining problems to
customers in jargon-free terms
that are easily understood.
“
They use layman’s terms, not
geek speak – although they can
certainly geek-speak when they
want to,” he jokes.
Safe Haven,
which was estab-
lished in 1998 in Raritan and has
been in its current location for the
past 15 years, caters to both busi-
nesses and home users. And staff
work happily with customers of
all ages and expertise.
Repair and maintenance is one
area of specialty for the busi-
ness – everything from spyware
removal to patching up a com-
puter that is physically damaged.
Safe Haven
fixes both PCs and
Macs, and customers can bring
their machines to the store for
repair, or technicians will make a
home or on-site visit. Remote-
access repairs, via the internet,
are also possible.
“
Our goal is to get problems
solved as quickly as possible,”
notes Frank.
Safe Haven
also makes built-
to-order laptops and desktop
computers, custom tailored for
the customer’s needs.
“
First, we meet with people to
understand what their needs
are,” explains Frank. “One guy
might come in and say he wants
his computer just to access the
internet, get email and use
iTunes. The next person might
want to play games online and
the next wants to do engineering
work and 3D modeling. We pick
the right components and build
the machine they need.”
Custom-built computers are
not necessarily expensive, he
adds. And, with hardware from
proven manufacturers, quality is
assured.
“
Reliability is very important to
us, and we make sure we use
quality components,” says Frank.
“
People come back to us because
our machines work and are very
reliable.”
