KINGS
FOOD
MARKETS
977
Valley Road
Gillette
By: Tatiana Javier
All you need is love, but some-
times gorgonzola piccante is a
necessity too. So for all the
cheese and food lovers of New
Jersey, you will be happy to hear
that Gillette has recently wel-
comed
Kings Food Markets,
a
gourmet grocery store chain that
is home to a wide array of fresh
produce, rare finds and delicious
recipes perfect for any family.
With its roots in Northern New
Jersey,
Kings
has designed its
newest location as a true market
place with inspiration in every
aisle. On March 22, General Man-
ager Donna Lewis and the
Kings
team opened
Kings
in Gillette
and welcomed shoppers to enjoy
its now signature Inspirations-To-
Go such as made-to-order
Neapolitan-style pizza, a hibachi
station, Chef-Inspired prepared
goods, Grain Exchange and
Mezze bars as well as an impres-
sive assortment of fresh, high-
quality meats, cheeses and pro-
duce. Customers also enjoy
Kings
full-service flower boutique, cof-
fee house with cappuccino and
espresso bar, bakery artisans,
candy shop, sustainable seafood
department and Wifi-enabled
Inspiration Café.
“
I am not only an associate of
Kings
but also I am a community
member who truly loves great
food and loves sharing my pas-
sion with my customers,” said
Lewis who has worked for
Kings
for more than 28 years, rising
through the ranks from part-time
cashier to store manager. “I love
the people I work with, the peo-
ple I work for and the people I
serve every day.
Kings
has a fam-
ily feel, and we strive to be that
grocery store that only offers the
best.”
Kings
reaches beyond the tra-
ditional food market and is
extremely active in serving the
community. As part of its Act
Against Hunger initiative,
Kings
is
dedicated to ending hunger in
the community it serves as well as
educating youth on the impor-
tance of nutrition. Customers are
also often given the opportunity
to get involved by making dona-
tions at the registers during
checkout or purchasing much
needed items for local hunger
relief agencies.
Kings
will also be
involved in Gillette’s upcoming
Fireman’s 100th Anniversary
Parade as well as the Chamber of
Commerce Spring Festival in June.
Founded in 1936 and now with
25
locations across New Jersey,
New York and Connecticut,
Kings
has consistently shared its
love for food with its customers
while growing with its communi-
ty and building a reputation for
offering only the finest ingredi-
ents. With farm fresh produce,
unique assortments of meats, a
plethora of healthy dining options
and let’s not forget the cheese-
for-days selection available at its
new International Cheese Shop in
the Gillette store,
Kings
will
quickly become your home away
from home. Make sure to swing
by 977 Valley Road to scope out
the inspirational finds.
