Tie The Knot
552

Basking Ridge

Kimberlee Caputo
Since its founding in 2006, the
Get in Shape for Women
franchise
has helped thousands of women to
reach their fitness and weight-loss
goals. The scientifically proven pro-
gram – which includes four core
components – strength training, car-
dio, nutrition and accountability –
now is available to local residents at
Highlands Village Center, 552 Allen
Road in Basking Ridge.
Kimberlee Caputo, who has
owned the business for one-and-
one-half years, believes in the
importance of a healthy lifestyle and
hopes to give local clients the
knowledge and support they need
to improve their self-image and
quality of life. Women between the
ages of 13 and 90 – of all fitness
abilities and goals – can benefit
from the services that
Get in Shape
for Women
provides.
“
Get in Shape for Women
brings certified personal training to
all women in a safe, supportive
environment along with nutritional
and motivational support,’’ said
Caputo. “We are a complete trans-
formation program.’’ Caputo
explains how the four components
of the program work: strength
training helps build lean body mass;
cardio high-intensity interval-train-
ing will help accelerate fat and calo-
rie burning, lower blood pressure
and get your heart in shape; and a
customized nutrition plan helps to
promote balanced eating.
“
The final step is accountability.
A certified personal trainer will hold
clients accountable for their
progress towards health and fitness
goals,’’ said Caputo. This accounta-
bility is in the form of set appoint-
ments, weekly weigh-ins and nutri-
tion consultations. “If you miss an
appointment, we will call you to
find out why. We can weigh our-
selves every day at home and beat
ourselves up over gaining weight,
but to have to do it in front of
someone else really helps keep
clients accountable. Every week we
talk with clients about nutrition. The
number you see on the scale each
week is just one result when a per-
son embarks on the path to a com-
plete, healthy lifestyle.’’
One reason many women choose
to embark on a diet and exercise
program is for their wedding day.
For those planning a wedding this
spring or summer, Caputo said
there is no better time for brides to
start getting in shape in preparation
for their walk down the aisle.
“
Because we are such a complete
program, brides can really see
results by committing to as little as
three hours a week,’’ said Caputo.
“
We know that planning a wedding
is an extremely busy and stressful
time for many people. Our com-
plete program allows you to get in
your workout and see results, and
the best part is it will not interfere
with the time you are spending
planning your wedding.’’
Caputo, is a certified wellness life
coach, a marathon coach, a Zumba
instructor and a second-degree
brown belt in Shotokan martial arts.
