Get ready for a Big Blue Summer!!
It’s that time of the year again. The
time when we start planning out
those long lazy days of summer vaca-
tion. Look no further for your sum-
mer plans.
The Pingry School
is
once again offering its “Big Blue
Summer,” an exciting array of oppor-
tunities for children and young
adults – day camps, sports camps,
academic enrichment, college prep
and even for-credit course opportuni-
ties for high school students. The
commitment to excellence that has
earned
The Pingry School
its
national reputation is evident in all of
its summer programming and is why
parents from all around the area rec-
ognize it as the best summer pro-
gram around.
This year, the “Big Blue Summer”
at
The Pingry School
is going to
offer even more options. Mark Fac-
ciani has been named Director of
Summer and Auxiliary Programs and
he has implemented some exciting
new courses. The day camp is avail-
able for children from the ages of 3
to 13 and is in session from 9:30-
3
pm Monday through Friday. Each
week has a different theme – like
Stars and Stripes Week, Engineering
Week, Water Week, Young Artists'
Week, Nature Week and Spirit
Week – and every day is filled with a
combination of indoor and outdoor
activities on
Pingry’s
beautiful 200
plus acre Basking Ridge campus.
Each day also includes a swim lesson
and a period of free swim for the kids
to just have fun in the school’s
Olympic-sized indoor pool.
Do you have a budding athlete on
your hands?
Pingry
has top sports
programs each summer run by its
own varsity coaches as well as some
through partnerships with nationally
recognized programs in a wide vari-
ety of sports, like the NFL flag foot-
ball program, tennis, lacrosse, soccer
and more. Whether it is to advance
in a sport or just try out something
new, these sports programs are the
best around and are offered later in
the day so that day campers can take
advantage of them as well. The clin-
ics and programs take place on
Pin-
gry’s
state of the art fields and facil-
ities including six expansive playing
fields, two gyms, a 25-meter indoor
pool, 12 all-weather outdoor tennis
courts, and an all-weather track.
This year Mr. Facciani is starting
something new for 8th and 9th
grade students – a youth leadership
program that develops public speak-
ing, conflict resolution and general
leadership skills and gives Red Cross
certifications.
Another area where
Pingry
always shines is, of course, academ-
ics. During the summer, these cours-
es are open to students of all capa-
bilities. Courses are offered to help
students to review or pre-teach
material to enable them to excel in
the coming school year. For-credit
courses are also available to high
school students who want to
advance more quickly in a subject.
To find out more about
Pingry’s
camps and to register for the pro-
gram that is right for you, go

a smile on your child’s face every day
this summer – register them for
Pin-
gry’s
camps and give them a Big
Blue Summer!
Pingry will be hosting a
Summer Day Camp Open House
on the Basking Ridge Campus on
Sunday, April 14, 11am - 2pm.
