A native of Los Angeles, Marcia Gloster Ammeen lived most of her colorful life in New York City, London and now Verona, NJ. Upon graduating from Rhode Island School of Design she put aside her brushes in order to build a career as an award-winning art director in publishing and advertising. Along the way, she emerged as a rare female success story in an industry dominated by men, actually living the Mad Men life decades before the groundbreaking series and writing about it in her novel, I Love You Today. In 1977, she founded New York City-based Peartree Advertising, a boutique agency specializing in fashion. She has now returned to her rst love, painting, and has exhibited in Manhattan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is also the author of three books, 31 Days, A Memoir of Seduction, the afore mentioned I Love You Today and the recently published paranormal romance, Voices from a Distant Room.
