Tyvan Hill will open to the public from September 8- October 4, 2020 – 10AM-3PM. Tickets are $40 and to be purchased online reserving a specific date/time only. All visitors are required to wear a mask while touring the Mansion, on shuttles, and while onsite at Tyvan Hill. So- cial Distancing is mandatory and the flow of the visitors through the mansion will be carefully con- trolled in accordance with CDC guidelines. More than 50 interior designers and landscape architects will trans- form this gracious U-shaped, stone and brick, tile-roofed residence and its 12,000 square feet of out- door garden space into its former glorious state for visitors to enjoy. The house’s eclectic style features many elements of Norman-French architecture. Tyvan Hill was de- signed by the New York architec- tural firm of Peabody, Wilson & Brown, one of the preeminent and prolific designers of large country residences. Visitors to Tyvan Hill will have the opportunity to tour the man- sion and view original interior features, from an elegant curved staircase and paneling to elegant moldings, while experiencing the interior designers’ unique trans- formations in their specific spac- es. A tour of the gardens will pro- vide visitors with the pleasure of spending time among beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces filled with flowering plants, water fea- tures, relaxing seating, dramatic sculpture, and inspiring artwork. Guests will be able to tour the house, the extensive gardens, and the pool area with its charm- ing Pool House. Funds raised at this year’s Man- sion in May will contribute to the expansion of the Gagnon Cardio- vascular Institute at Morristown Medical Center. As a national- ly-ranked regional medical center and a recognized leader in cardio- vascular medicine, this expansion will enable the facility to handle an estimated 10% of the project- ed new patient volume under the same roof, improving safety, effi- ciency, and workflow.
