The Connections Bernards Ridge Edition April/May 2021

A native of New Jersey, Timothy Conway began his career as a commercial artist in 1975. Years later he left to pursue work as an illustrator in the publishing industry. He entered the world of ne art in the year 2000, exhibiting and selling his paintings as well as being employed by several interior designers for murals in New York, New Jersey and Florida since 2003. His subjects vary from majestic horses to scenic landscapes or maritime scenes. Painting in oils, he tries to make his paintings frame, enhance and highlight the essence of the subject. “In the years I have been painting, people have often askedme what drewme to this career and why I choose the subjects I paint. I always nd it dif cult to de ne those reasons but they do exist and direct me emotionally and practically in what I paint and how I paint it. Like many careers, being an artist is very often full of struggle and disappointment but also rewarding and inspiring. The subjects I am drawn to paint often re ect goodness or beauty. In our troubled world, they thankfully still do exist. Viewing such subjects can lift your spirit with a sense of hope, joy and the quiet presence of God. I have tried to capture a few with that quality in paint.” Tim is a member of the Allied Artists and Oil Painters of America. Some of his work can be seen at the Patricia Hutton Gallery in Doylestown. PA. TIMOTHY CONWAY The subjects I am drawn to paint often re ect goodness or beauty.
