Cheryl Kramer is a contemporary artist living in Warren, NJ, and in Miami Beach, FL. She practiced law for years before turning her attention to her real passion – creating art.
Her primary medium is oil, but she also employs mixed media to bring her vision to life. “I love nature and am drawn to beautiful trees and the ocean. However, I love to paint portraits to capture the essence of a person at a particular moment in time, or to capture the beauty of an urban environment where others see only dirt and grime.” Cheryl’s work, through commissions and otherwise, runs the gamut from realism to more impressionistic depictions of her subjects. She creates art with great joy, and hopes to evoke in the viewer a sense of calm and centering.
Cheryl has been honored to have her work recognized in many national and local art competitions. She recently had her work displayed in a Miami gallery as a finalist in the PaintMeMiami 2018 competition, and was mentioned in The Washington Post, Arts and Style section.
