David J. Worthington grew up as a child of an Army family. He lived in many places; California, Japan, Massachusetts and Germany which shaped his life. Graduating from Frankfurt American High School gave David exposure to European art and architecture as a teenager which piqued his interest in the study of art and developed his love of oil painting.
He studied Economics in college, received a Masters of Arts in Economics with a concentration of Econometrics which led to the beginning of his Wall Street banking career. David was a Vice President, Marine Midland Bank, Vice President to Managing Director of Credit Suisse/First Boston, Executive Managing Director MDG Advisory Group and retired in 2010. He then began painting full time.
Spending summers for the past 32+ years in Maine has influenced David’s painting. He uses an imaginative use of color and shape/perspective as he creates his works of art. During the year, David resides in Montclair, N.J., enjoys time with his two grown children and his granddaughter.
