‘THE SUN WILL COME OUT’ ON 11/8 & 11/10 WHEN THE SUNDANCE SCHOOL STUDENTS PERFORM ANNIE
NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The Sundance School, a premier private preschool and elementary school on Greenbrook Road in North Plainfield, NJ proudly presents a production of Annie KIDS by their 2nd – 5th grade students on Thursday, November 8th and again on Saturday, November 10th. The musical is part of Music Theater International (MTI) Broadway Junior Collection.
Based on the popular comic strip, “Little Orphan Annie,” Annie KIDS tells of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who left her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil plots, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Joanne Merrigan, Creative and Performing Arts Program Director said, “Annie KIDS is the perfect fit for our Sundance students. Our students love to perform! It’s been so much fun seeing them singing and dancing down the hallway on their way up to the stage for rehearsal. It’s a truly rewarding feeling to be a part of this creative collaborative process. We all understand and value the importance of arts-integrated teaching and the positive impact it has on each of our students.”
The Sundance School will perform Annie KIDS on Thursday, November 8th at 6:45 pm in the spacious auditorium at 401 Greenbrook Road in North Plainfield. They will also do an encore performance on Saturday, November 10th at 10:00 am during an open house. The show is open to the public and admission is free.
